Summary

The Kuwait Ports report analyses the importance of Kuwait Ports in the economy of Kuwait. The report starts with an economic analysis of Kuwait. The report then discusses the three commercial ports of Kuwait and volume trends at these ports. A detailed overview of Kuwait’s growing trade, Kuwait’s trade relation with other countries and importance of sea transport has been provided. The report examines the drivers for port development, key challenges in port development, economic benefits of Kuwait seaports and efficiency of Kuwait Ports. 

Kuwait Ports report is rich statistically and includes data on Kuwait’s nominal GDP, hydrocarbon and non-hydro carbon contribution to Kuwait’s GDP, Kuwait’s inflation and population. The report also includes data on the container and cargo volume at the three commercial ports of Kuwait (2005-12), upcoming Kuwait seaport projects, Kuwait’s oil exports, non-oil exports, re- exports, imports, Kuwait’s trade relation with other countries and exports and imports by mode of transport.
