• Established in late 2005, Barwa Group is in the business of Real Estate Development and Investment Company in Qatar. Presently, Barwa is the second of the largest real estate company in Qatar in terms of market capitalisation. 
• The group’s business operations can broadly be classified into three verticals – Real Estate Segment, Business Services and Financial institution and other services 
• Qatar Investment Authority has 45% holding in Barwa Real Estate Company and thus it has been the active participant in achieving Qatar Government’s National Vision 2030. 
• Qatar continues to be the key market for Barwa Group in terms of revenue (87%). In a bid to diversify the income streams geographically Barwa Group has been investing in complimentary businesses across the region. 
• Barwa Group’s net income for the year 2014 reached USD 762.8 million which is 103% higher than the 2013. 
• Barwa’s stock has given an annualized CAGR of 7.31% over the past 5 years. Qatar stock index has done slightly better in the past five year period with a CAGR of 9.43% . Barwa’s stock price increase has been a gradual constant climb and has been less volatile. Barwa’s Dividend yield has been above the 5% mark over the past three years.
